Website information

Privacy

How the Chesney website currently handles information you send to us.

This page is a working draft for Chesney to review before production publication. It describes the current website implementation; it is not a final legal notice.

Information you send

Contact and support forms request your name, email address, phone number, company where supplied, the topic of your enquiry, and your message. Support requests may include an attachment. We use this information to respond to your request and manage the related work.

Where it is stored

The site sends enquiries to a server endpoint, which stores them in Google Cloud Firestore. Authorized Chesney administrators can manage enquiries in the admin dashboard. A configured integration may also synchronize enquiries with a Google Sheet. Support attachments are stored in Firebase Storage.

Abuse prevention

The submission endpoint uses short-lived rate limit and duplicate-detection records. Firebase App Check can be enabled to help verify requests. These checks are used to protect the forms from misuse.

Retention

The current application assigns new enquiries a retention date based on a server setting. Its default is 730 days; Chesney must confirm the production setting and whether this period suits its actual practices. A scheduled deletion process must be deployed and monitored for the date to have effect. Deletion requests can be handled by authorized administrators.

Analytics and cookies

Optional analytics runs only if a measurement ID is configured and you choose to allow analytics in the cookie preferences. See the cookie information page for details.

Requests and questions

For questions about information you sent, or to request correction or deletion, email hello@chesney.digital. Chesney should confirm its official privacy contact and any applicable rights before publishing this page.
